It's just my wife and I, no family around here. We have reservations at one of our favorite restaurants - The Chop House in downtown Rochester, MI. They do an outstanding Thanksgiving dinner, and no dishes to wash!

Oh yeah, armament will be a G27. Scratch that - make it the G43. I might need the extra room in the waist of my pants if I eat a lot.

    Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

Ya'll have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving. God bless all.

Two of the three stepkids live in the same town about 25 miles south of us. They have space to entertain and fewer dogs underfoot, so I'm cooking the bird and a side dish and the other two couples are doing the rest. Kitchen duties start around 6 tomorrow morning. Makes for a long day but less hectic without having to clean the house!

Wishing you all a blessed Thanksgiving, and may we all give thanks for what we have.

My wife's mother, my wife's uncle, her brother, her niece, and her nephew are coming for dinner. When we started the Thanksgiving tradition thirty-seven years ago, there were about twenty-five people at our house for dinner. The survivors are dwindling. Turkey and all the traditional side dishes will be served.

Wish I was coming to your house! I'm going to Pearland & meeting some "liberal family". Then we're going out to eat, as the family member that usually cooks, has been having health issues. Would have liked to go to Georgia where other family is, but not in the cards at this time. Probably better, as this is NOT my favorite time to travel!

Me & the Mrs are having broiled salmon, jasmine rice, brussels sprouts, & Carrot cake. We did an early traditional TG last Sunday with relatives so we're turkeyed out. :)

Just the breast here, boneless&rolled. All the trimmings, of course.

Hope you all have a great day.

Wife and I will be going to some friends home for the meal.

I was making venison deliveries today so to be out from under foot while the wife was cooking and preparing our contribution to the meal and she has told me that they are complete. She was to make a dessert and also snack/finger foods for the afternoon football game on tv. I got to try the snacks and they were yummy. It was hands off the dessert, a well like peanut butter cake that she has often made. The meal will be a feast of major proportion: turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, broccoli casserole, cranberry salad, corn casserole, homemade yeast rolls, deviled eggs, and much more.

18 relatives hitting the house Thursday.
Roasting one bird, smoking a second and smoking a ham also.
Everyone else brings sides and deserts.
    Beer, wine, whiskey and champagne.

I am in the "belly of the beast," unfortunately. Visiting my wife's family in Northern California, along with her liberal relatives. Not my choice of venue, but one must take the good with the bad.

I'm visiting family in NY. Dinner will be turkey, mashed taters, stuffing and pumpkin pie.

And happy Thanksgiving to all you fellow DCers.
