Great Quality Remaster Of Old Movie

I thought I would offer a shameless plug for an amazing remaster of the 1955 movie "Strategic Air Command". This is a BluRay version and I was simply stunned at the quality of this. Even Mrs oldChap was impressed - and that says it all. She isn't a great fan of airplane movies!

I have to believe they went back to an original copy and did a digital rework. If you collect great old movies, this is a must have. And this is some of the best flying photography ever done. Considering it was filmed only 10 years after WWII, it is even more impressive. Here is a link:

I highly recommend this for an enjoyable "movie night." Brew up a pot of Black Rifle Coffee for a winter evening and enjoy.

If you use JP-8, then it's technically not waterboarding

Great aerial photography and music score. Just put it in my cart.

An excellent movie about SAC but I have always preferred Dr. Strangelove for it's extreme realism!

George C Scott and Slim Pickens both deserved an Oscar for that movie.

I saw the movie when it was originally released. The father of my best friend when I was a kid was an officer in SAC. He fought in the European theater in WWII.

Thank you OC, this is one of my fav movies. I'll watch it on Prime. The B36 was an amazing plane. I would have really liked to have seen one take off and fly, and those 6 pushers would have made an incredible sound.

Memphis -- No. 2 on the list of most crime ridden cities in America. Working on being No. 1 but we just can't catch Detroit.

Here you go, that was back in time where the Flight Engineer truly ran all the systems on the airplane. Before my time but I truly have loved to be a Flight Engineer back then heck I would even been happy to have flown on Ole Shaky (C-124) but alas my experience has been jets.

That clip is from the movie. It is amazing going back and forth between the DVD quality and this BluRay. The Amazon Prime Video version looks basically the same as the DVD in a good player while the BluRay just looks amazing. I only wish I had a way to put up a clip side by side. I really cannot say it enough. If you like this old movie, order the BluRay version. You will not be disappointed. There are very few things I push like this. I almost feel bad doing it, but this is a real bargain.
