Kind of sad, with respect, if this were the 70's, it'd be front page news. I listen to NPR daily, (YEAH, I know) and they typically cover stuff like that, but I don't think they said anything. Rest in peace, Neal. I know there's plenty of of "rocker's" "up there with you"!

No offense but I'm always amazed when one of the 60s-70s rockers passes away from old age. Just sayin'.

I went to a Rush concert in 84 and was blown away with Neil's drum solo. It was 10 minutes of awesomeness.

Saw them in concert several times. Great band. The "professor" and his drum solos were always a big highlight of the shows. He will be missed.

Rush was one of the biggest bands that made up the soundtrack of my youth. Neil's virtuoso drum skills were second to none, and the influence he's had on drummers all over the world can't be understated. What's often overlooked is that Neil also wrote the lyrics to Rush's songs, which were anything but stereotypical Rock lyrics. While Neil's drum solos were a study in percussion perfection, the greatness of his skills shined the brightest within Rush's songs.

Glad I got to see Rush in concert a few times. Now he's reunited with his daughter and wife.
