Someone helped themself to my target today

Strange incident at the range today. After my normal indoor session today, the RO was ribbing me about using a different target today. Normally, I use an IDPA target. But, today I brought in one of those hi-vis types because I wanted quicker feedback on my shots.

As we finished, someone began banging on the glass and motioned to be let in to the gallery. I continued to cleanup and the RO let the spectator in. Where he promptly took my target from the trash bin and left. Telling the RO he wanted to show it to his wife.

The RO asked me after the stranger had left. “What if his wife wants to come to the range with him?”

I’ve had the day to reflect on this and I can’t tell if I should feel flattered or violated. Lol.

THAT IS POSITIVE THINKING - something a lot of us need a little more of, me thinks.

Well aimed - right at my ego. And, less than 2 minutes - quick too.

You trash your targets? That's throwing good money away. I usually get five bucks for my weak hand only targets and ten for strong hand. Rifle will cost you five bucks per hundred yards. 😄

Yeah, the one advantage of my “marksmanship” is being able to re-use the same target for weeks. :D

I just keep putting multiple rounds through the same hole so that the target doesn't get worn out. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Depends on how you shot. Doesn't it?

    Oh these replies are awesome.

I love those targets, and I am sure that dude's wife will too.

I use standard paper targets, but I buy the Shoot 'N See 3" bullseyes in the bulk packs and apply them to the paper. Once they get shredded I just slap more on top of them.
