I'm surprised you thought they were open. Unless it was a drive-thru omelet.

Oregon banned plastic bags and plastic straws. To save the planet, you could bring your own reusable bags or your own reusable cup and straw. Now they can't touch your reusable bags or cups so they are giving out free plastic bags and free plastic straws.

It was open the day before. Timing is everything.

Went to the liquor store and had to fight my way to the Jim Beam section. Those old ladies didn't know who they were messing with.

Drove through the Duncan Donuts drive-through to get the wife an ice tea and a donut. She wanted a cream donut. No have... How about a chocolate donut? No have... JUST GIVE ME A DANGED DONUT! ANY DONUT! ONE car ahead of us. We wait . . . and wait . . . and wait . . . For one ice tea and one donut. Apparently the guy ahead of us ordered something special from China and had it shipped via a slow boat. Drove around him and left. No tea, no donut.

Stopped at Publix for a few things. Couldn't find a few things. Not even Vienna sausages. No coffee creamer. Good thing I picked up another bottle of Irish cream at the liquor store. That only cost an old lady a stomped toe.

OV is about fed up with all this panic. It's been over a week since the great scavenger hunt of 2020 began, and there's not so much as a dinner napkin left to buy. Hardly anyone shopping, but they all managed to get in my way. Came home with potato chips, peanut butter cookies (2-4-1) and liquor.

I don't know about the world situation getting worse (worse than what?) but OV is definitely gonna get worse if it keeps up. I've long said the world needs a good enema, and from the lack of TP, it looks like it's getting one.

I work from home and have for many years. Thus far, we’ve been pretty much uneffected. Until now. Just saw an email that the range is closed tomorrow. First the NHL and now this. I cut the lawn today. So, I guess there’s no excuse for not cleaning all the dirty guns now.

I do hope everyone is hanging in there and that they are well. Keep an eye out for family, friends and neighbors.

With all the home projects I have I'm thinking of changing my name to Manual Labor.

I hacked my wife’s password and have been secretly deleting items from her “honey do” list. I’ll let y’all know how well that works out for me.

If you know any of those panic shoppers you should be nice to them today. Maybe when they die in a couple of weeks they'll leave you their toilet paper in their will.

First time I've been able to get on this forum for a while, oh man. I usually post from mobile and the formatting shows up awful.

We're holding in there right now. Never been happier to be a bit of a prepper and be stocked on ammo and supplies. Making trips to the store when I can to stock up on real food before the MRE's start. Not panic buying, but trying to be ready if they call a full on quarantine. It's going to get ugly if they don't get a grip on this.

I don't know if there is any "getting a grip" on this or just waiting for it to run its course.

Here is something I just ran across:
Today we heard of a drug that may be considered by the FDA for use in attenuating COVID-19 infections. There is some really good news here.

Hydroxychloroquine is an old drug (approved in 1955) used for malaria. What does malaria have to do with this new virus? It is not related in terms of disease - but rather in terms of mechanism of action (MOA) of the drug. COVID-19 attaches to the ACE2 (angiotensin converting enzyme 2) receptor in the mouth, nasal passages and the lung (they are ubiquitous and and important receptors). Hydroxychloroquine is known to block serine proteases (enzymes needed to build ACE2) as well as inhibit toll-like receptor activity which are part of the inflammation pathways. Indeed inhibition of the biosynthesis of sialic acid, a part of the ACE2 receptor) explains how it works to decrease the glycosylation (recognition and binding) of the coronavirus receptor ACE2.

The results of a French trial of hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin (a broad spectrum antibiotic; a kind of viral and bacterial cocktail) are being published in the Intnl Journal of Antimicrobial Agents (IJAA), but the authors have put it on line at:

    https://www.mediterranee-infection.c...xychloroquine…

The data is very exciting and the drug dose is achievable and likely safe in the COVID-19 clinical setting. Here's hoping!
