    Will it get worse?

Covid-19, the Chinese Virus, whatever you wish to call it, will end, when it ends. Like all other pandemics that have happened in the past.

The democratic States. As in Maryland. And New York State, well in NY mostly the City because you can get Carry permits, valid in the State. Not so much in NY City. Also to some extent in Illinois. Chicago!!

When the armed Gang Bangers run out of food in their homes? I predict, they will head out to homes with more food than they have and take it.
We live in Florida! I am in track pants and a short-sleeved tee type shirt, and old guy slippers. (Well I am one!) Complete with a Glock 19 4th Gen, with night sights, in my right pocket, cell phone in the left.
Loaded with 16 rounds of Federal 147g HST that says Law Enforcement on the 50 round box. Bought for my Sons Security Co. I actually do not think it is restricted.
    But it gets great reviews.

After the first reported home invasion (if it happens) a Steyr AUG with a 30 round magazine onboard will be available, in the Jeep on the back seat when out and about. The one and a half-power scope is robust and handy.

Am I frightened, scared? Not in the least. But forewarned is forewarned. We armed denizens of Florida have this ability to be armed, and I am sure most who avail themselves of this privilege take it very seriously.

    I do.

Iím beginning to gravitate to a new and surprisingly great shooting, Marlin carbine in 44 as my plague gun. Thereís a larger Safepacker on the way for the Model 69. But Iím here in the sticks, on a dirt road. They should be sufficient. The rest of the horses are in the barn, not far away. If I go to town, these will suffice. If I go to the city, I dunno. But I donít have to go to the city so Iím good.

Iím surprised at the lack of reported cases of civil issues. Iíve been waiting for bad behavior due to shortages, haves and have nots, road rage, etc. Maybe the news is wisely keeping reserved about such things, maybe itís too soon.

I suspect that there is ample time for all things......

I think it will get worse, but more people will begin to question if what we are doing is the right thing. Then it will start to get better.

Worse in terms of folks dying and watching loved ones die? Yes because people are mostly too selfish or ignorant to stay indoors and not congregate. Worse in terms of crime and civil disorder? Unlikely. While there may be an uptick though small in petty crimes I donít foresee collapse of any sort. Martial law will happen should that unfold.

Here is the thing. We are Americans. That means our first generation family descendents were kicked out of every decent country in the world. We stick together and pull together in times of crises. We always have and donít believe the lies that our country is so badly broken. Only the political talking heads and a super small group of highly vocal liberals and Hollywood elites tell you otherwise. Who will you believe? Strangers, or your family, friends, and neighbors?

I find supremely ironic that God in his wisdom and grace has given man freedom of choice bounded by 10 simple rules. Man in his finite wisdom has created millions of rules to limit freedom of choice and the personal responsibility of his fellow man.

At least around here I think things are going to have to get alot worse before home invasions spike. Lots of folks are staying home, or working from home. Invading occupied homes in this country is risky business, lots more homes now are occupied 24/7. An increase in occupied home invasions will likely result in more interesting reading in the "Armed Citizen" section of the American Rifleman.

I would imagine the number of burglaries has dropped in the past week because of so many people staying home. I've seen no significant increase in reports of home invasions either.

If the gang bangers/home invaders could subsist on lead and copper, they could find a great meal at my house. Being retired, we are almost always at home. Almost all of our neighbors are too.

I always keep heavier artillery ready and, for the past several years, a Level III+ vest. However, I actually think we will come out of this better than when we went in. People are beginning to re-learn what is truly important and what is political garbage designed to keep the crooked politicians' pockets lined. That, IMHO, will be a good thing.

I also think a great many folks who thought their wealth and affluence could carry them through anything are discovering that they need hope - the kind that has sustained so many millions through terrible times. That is an excellent thing.

One of the worse things happening now is a dramatic rise in child abuse cases and domestic abuse. Kids at home for a very extended period of time and too many parents havenít had to deal with their own kids. 24/7 instead of shoving them off to school for the teachers to deal with their attitudes and extended care.

As far as I know, all the orders to stay indoors still allow people to go out to buy food, and there's not a good shortage. I doubt we'll see starving bangers invading homes out of desperation.

    Will it get worse?

If the government has anything to say about it, it certainly will.

    Here is my prediction.

These lock-ins are creating financial stress. Our supply chain is severely depressed. We can buy from China/Amazon, but this is a free market. We are not producing. We are living on credit. This cannot last.

We are creating emotional stress. Locked in, getting cabin fever, inundated with fear mongering headlines, not working. This is a recipe for stress, depression, and substance abuse.

Many here are prepared. We know the general population is not. Many here are experienced in high OP tempo and mental stress. We know the general population is not. 95% of the public cannot endure this past 7-10 days. For most states, that is sometime in the next week. I am sad to say, we will observe the degradation in the next week.

I have been trying to lift up neighbors. Some are finding solace in religion. Many are getting outside which is free. People are saving money by not eating out. We need social support of these positive things to combat our media who needs crisis to boost ratings.

No, the parents are either abusive or good. There isn't an increase in child/spousal abuse in times like this. Never has been.

The level of violence that those who are being abused increases. That has always remained true. Things escalate in those homes as more time together gets things past the safe point. It may appear that more abuse is occurring, but violence has always been in those homes. More people end up in the hospital because there is little/no escape and recovery time.

I took my wife for her allergy shot. They had two nurses at the medical clinic entrance in masks, gowns, and rubber gloves taking temperatures. I was told only patients could go in, so I went and sat in the car with the windows down. There was a guy next to me with his windows down. He was the loquacious type and kept asking questions. He finally asked me when I thought the pandemic would be over. I told him it would be over in 90 days. Either we would all be OK or we would all be dead. He quit talking to me.

the lying media is gaslighting this trying to cause more mass panic.

today Sec Treas Mnuchin was on fox news sunday talking about the financial stimulus package, because he is the Treasury Sec. They were talking about the financial package and specifically asked about the timing of implementation and effects kicking in. He said 10-12 weeks.

the lying propaganda media are already putting out headlines saying "top Trump official says lock down is 10-12 more weeks".

They ought to be prosecuted for this junk. It's no different than yelling fire in a crowded theater.
