I think it is a good idea for the U.S. to have command of space surrounding Earth.
I can think of about a dozen reasons why we will never live on Mars.
Well, never say never but, it would be an incredibly long time.

My granddaughter is living in Satellite Beach and will get to watch this. She wants to be an astronaut.

We went to the Space Museum in Houston last year. My wife asked if I ever wanted to be an astronaut when I was growing up. I said "of course, like any other kid". But I quickly outgrew that idea. IMO I would get tremendously bored. Constant training. Just a few moments of exhilaration and months or weeks of boredom being stuffed in a confined space with other people.

I would much rather be a pilot for an F-15 or an Apache helicopter or any other type of aircraft.

I do not even like being in a restaurant with other people. I do not get along with others ;)

That being said. I hope her dreams come true!!

Weather went south here about an hour ago. The odds for a launch today were not good to begin with, like 40% a go.

Too bad they had to scrub the launch but hopefully it gets off on Saturday.

I love seeing us in space again, we should never have dropped out in the first place.
