    Memorial Day: Gen Grant miniseries on History Channel

    The History Channel is running a 3 day miniseries on Gen Grant, starting on Memorial Day.

    Many here may enjoy watching it.

    Gen Lee was probably the greatest battlefield tactician of the Civil War, but in the end was defeated by Grant's strategy.

    Being a Southern man, can't say I am a fan of Grant. But I do respect him for the manner in which he treated Southern soldiers after the surrender at Appomattox.
