RIP OC - Man Banned from Walmart in Lexington, KY
Not a fan of the stupid intro...I'm guessing he was being a moron and it drew attention.
Note: @1:45 He's told he is banned from ALL Walmarts and Sam's Club locations NATIONWIDE. Because of the monopolies in chain stores this could have a HUGE impact on many person's daily lives. That could be a real gut punch to an individual or family. On the Rez when we go back to visit family unless it's a trading post you're 1-3 hours away from any store...which is Walmart or Sam's Club. Even in regular Anytown USA with a population of 5k-25k you're probably doing most of your shopping at Wally World.
We're going to need some alternative stores to shop at if this keeps up. I know where this is going. First it's OC, then it turns into no CC signs popping up at the front doors. Then they will make us wear six pointed stars on our garments when we're out in public because our online shopping habits have red-flagged us as potentially unstable...

And Wal Mart will actively help CC go the way of OC:
From Wal Mart's own website:
https://corporate.walmart.com/policies
Under "Firearms and Ammunition Guidelines
Selling Firearms Responsibly

Walmart is a charter member of the Responsible Firearms Retailer Partnership, organized by Walmart and Everytown for Gun Safety.-snip-

Wally World is an easy enough place to stay out of. They lost my business waaaaay back in 2013.

Yeah but just think how much safer you'll be in a Walmart store now that the openly carried guns are no longer in view.

Yep, that’s my city. Irony for me is that he is maybe the 4th person I have seen all year OC around here.

Wish I could say the same. I live in a college town and the two stores here are a walmart, and a walmart neighborhood market. I have no other stores to go to for food, and nothing else for clothes, they have a monopoly here. I have to begrudgingly shop there, because the only other alternative is to quite literally not have food. (unless I want to eat out every day)

You're better than Walmart.
Love yourself.
You're worth it.

Dang. I guess he'll just have to find another store that specializes in selling cheap imported Chicom-made crap.

Really, with all the news reports on Walmart's policy changes, how hard would it have been to pull the darn shirt over the gun? Seems he wanted to push the issue and now he gets to deal with the push-back. Like the cop told him, his stunt took seven officers off the street.

SO WHAT THE HECK DID HE DO? Refuse to leave when they asked him to? That would be a trespassing charge but the one LEO said he had done nothing illegal. And this in Kentucky, one of the most pro-second amendment states?
We are all doomed. I guess we knew that but didn't think it was so soon.

A seven cop response to a non crime seems like a bit of showmanship to me on both ends of the issue.

And just what is the likelihood he'd be recognized in WalMart in the next city, or county or state. It's not like Wallyworld runs the kind of security surveillance that Las Vegas casinos do.

I carry always not because I go places trouble is likely, but because trouble has a habit of not staying in its assigned zone.

Yep, the PD is just as guilty as the “perp”.
I’d like to see how and if Wal-Mart enforces the “ban”. You’d think such decisions would be made at the corporate level. They going to scan the faces of people entering, like casinos?
