I had one like what you are talking about or less & lasted 5+ years. Cheaper than replacing batteries.
I do have a couple dress watches but I don't get dressed up anymore.
Have a Victorinox that I wear for a bang around watch & really like it.

I can't even remember when I bought this Timex Expedition. I've replaced the battery once. It does everything I need a watch to do which is tell me the time of day and it just keeps on doing it. I've never owned an expensive watch.

My Timex recently gave up the ghost, I managed to tear the stem winder off somehow. So I bought a Casio cheapie and a few cheap watches at the flea market.
I got an oversize analog wristwatch too, at Wal Mart, I love that thing, it is over the top big. And it is very accurate, but not waterproof, and it cost about $8. Good deal.

A few months ago I sold my Submariner (I have had four, like them a lot, but then decide to sell them to free up $ for other stuff...)
Currently my daily watches are my Solar Atomic G Shocks, rotate between my Rangeman, Frogman, and Gulfman. I do have a couple of Luminox watches too, one black with orange numbers to match my car and the other one is a black out Luminox on a leather strap - for when I "dress up" (for me that entails putting on a blazer over a polo and jeans...).

I've had some other nice watches in the past, Omega Planet Ocean and Seamaster, Tudor Grantour, Citizens and Seiko's too. I am looking to pick up another automatic, not wanting to spend a lot, so I am looking at some Tags, Hamiltons, and Ball watches.

Going to a Swiss Watch event at a local jewelry store, maybe something will catch my eye.
Tomorrow's battle is won during today's practice.

I've been wearing this ~$100 Citizen for about a year now. After wearing it for this time I don't like the color difference for the numbers. My next watch will have nice big clear numbers for these aging eyes. Love the look though.

Always wanted one. Never could afford one. Found this at an estate sale and used a work bonus to get it. My wife got a new I-Watch for Christmas and was telling me what all it would do. I said mine tells time and the date and was $1500 more. She reminded me why she is the bookkeeper in the family. What Watches are you wearing???-rolex.jpg

I normally wear my old G-Shock MR-G. It dates to the year I started teaching full time. Solar atomic, so I don't have to ever do anything but put it on.
