    AR-15 scope recommendation anyone?

What's your recommendation for a good ar-15 scope? I'm looking to use it for target shooting and possibly hunting. Will shoot from around 100 - 200 yards. And my budget is no more than 500 bucks.

I'm looking closely at this scope for my recent lightweight build:

LVPO's are pretty nice, Primary Arms makes some decent FFP 1-6 and 1-8 in your price range.

I just built a Precision Trainer for NRL22 using a Vortex Strike Eagle 4-24 and it's very clear glass.

Thanks a lot guys. Been reading quite a bit (I'll attach some links at the bottom) and as you've already mentioned, the Primary Arms 1-6x is a good choice.

However, I'm going to look more into the Vortex Strike Eagle. Will update with which scope I'll buy

I use a leupold 1.25-4. The new nikon scopes are supposed to be pretty nice from what I understand. Also look at the vortex viper pst 1-24.

I was looking for the same. Looked through many different scopes in stores.
Then came across the Steiner P4Xi 1-4x24 illuminated.
Extremely bright and sharp red Dot at 1x. Very good glass with etched BDC reticle.
LGS wanted $650. Found it online for sub-$500.

I have a Leopold 1.25-4 on one carbine and like it, thinking hard on the Primary Arms 1-8 for my 300 BO

I was going to suggest the primary arms as well.

The link you provided says the primary arms is the best overall but you say you're going with a different one. I'm curious, why?

I can recommend the Nikon P-tac 223 3 x 32. Personally I like it a lot and it would work well on any AR or similar platform rifle.

I have a Nikon pro staff 7 2.5-10x42 on my AR for 4 years and it has a 30mm tube design for grear low light vision - price is $ 299 for the tac dot . Next would be the Nikon monarch 3 version or pro satff 5 that are 1" tubes .

One more option could be Sightron - https://www.opticsplanet.com/v/s-tac...iflescope.html

For the money and what you listed as needs Bushnell drop zone. Find it on sale half the cost of the Nikon. Is the Nikon better / yes but not for you needs. Effect and priced right. yes I use them.
    Just two examples

Yes Taurus really does suck. But in fairness they sure turned it around fast on warranty repair. Time will tell
