The current Oregon Democrat candidate for governor is more anti-gun, pro-choice, and more pro-gay rights. She is openly bi-sexual. We are in deep trouble no matter who wins since the Democrats have a super majority in both houses of the legislature. I can see a lot of anti-gun legislation passing and being signed after the legislative session starts in January. I hope we don't have to move to another state to access our Second Amendment rights.
I want to personally thank your state for siphoning off the worst of the California freaks before they made it into Washington, though they’re still getting through in enough numbers to mess up things here, too. We should hook up and carpool north to Alaska.

This just came across one of my news feeds. I cannot vouch for its authenticity, but it certainly looks real.

I tried posting this by itself and it never appeared. Perhaps if I post it as a response it will go up.

I'm actually looking at it a little bit differently. I don't see this as a victory for gun rights or abortion rights, or gender rights, etc. I see this a a victory for our Constitution.

Yes you can see it like that, but as for it being a victory for our Constitution that includes gun rights since they're part of the Constitution.

SCOTUS is like a box of chocolates; you never know what it will decide.

Only on the Republican side. When the Dems nominate someone they stay rock solid liberal their entire tenure on the court. They know what they are getting when they appoint someone. Republicans? Meh, they might seem pretty conservative at first but they often drift to moderate or liberal positions over the years. The Republican appointees really are like a box of chocolates. Not many are steadfast in their principles(or what they claimed their principles were) like Alito of Thomas.

Yup, there are no mysteries on the progressive side when it comes to, say the 2nd Amendment.

Even the honest pollsters like Rasmussen have one big hurdles to overcome and that is that many libertarian types just wont answer questions. Like in your post and I also do not either. The other problem is the reluctance of many Republicans to admit that they are voting Republican. People are often afraid to admit they are voting R and especially this skews the polls with Trump support.
Yes, I've never shrank from claiming to be a conservative or republican, I just refuse to waste my time listening to the pollsters prattle and then giving them anything to twist.
