California Still Trying To Convince Everyone They Are Insane: It's Working

Our new liberal governor has yet to take office, but he's already after the guns - again - some more.

Newsom is waiting with pen in hand.

"A California lawmaker will push for a new tax on sales of semi-automatic firearms, with the proceeds going to support community violence prevention programs.

“The gun tax will support the kind of interventions that make gun violence less likely in the first place which is exactly what we need to do,” Assemblyman Marc Levine, D-Greenbrae, said in a statement Wednesday."

Yep, looks like they're looking for a work around to the pesky issue of rights. If you can't ban and confiscate then maybe "tax" them out of existence.

    Such beautiful terrain in Cali...

    It's a damn shame.

    Ouch!

    Too soon!!!

Before the fires, I'm forced to be serious...

Of course, it's been 20 years since I was there, but I do remember how beautiful and diverse the landscape was.

In my humble opinion...the "kind of interventions that make gun violence less likely" would begin with CA politicians, oh shoot, for all politicians everywhere, to stop setting such a terrible example by giving up the lying, thieving, nonsensical buffoonery that defines most all of them today. Just look how the rats mimic them.

I wonder what kinds of interventions make gun violence less likely in the first place...

Not really, we all know that complete abolition/confiscation is the endgame.

With all of these gun laws passed one would assume California is pretty much free of gun violence.

I find it so interesting that the Democrats suppose to be the party that cares for the poor, yet they seem to like laws that make sure only the rich get to exercise their 2A rights.

So they're gonna start actually putting gang bangers away forever?

    Nah, never happen.

The only common sense gun legislation was written about 229 years ago.

I carry always not because I go places trouble is likely, but because trouble has a habit of not staying in its assigned zone.

Sometimes I'm embarrassed to admit that I was born and raised in Southern California. But that was when we could take our guns to school and just drive out into the desert and shoot. 1940s and 50s...I left in 1960.

They're going to fund community programs with a gun tax? Yippee! Better make it easier to sell guns!

Don't forget CA is where they are paying Gang Banger's not to shoot anyone! Now they have a source of money to expand that! DR

Gavin Newsom was married to Kimberly Guilfoyle. Gavin Newsom got divorced from Kimberly Guilfoyle. Gavin Newsom is an idiot.
