(Although it would be fun to have a torpedo tube or two on your bass boat...)
Plus a 20 mm cannon in front and a .50 cal in back. That bass boat is suddenly become a PT boat.

There is a solution but we are not Jedi... not yet.

But you can bear the cannons on a warship. So I think that would be covered. The founders were not stupid. They understood exactly what they were doing..

And Shepards we shall be, for Thee, my Lord, for Thee,
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, So that our feet may swiftly carry out thy command,
And we shall flow a river forth to Thee, And teeming with souls shall it ever be,

It is the anti gunners who want folks to think that the "right to bear" only applies to "arms" that can be carried by a person. Such is not the case.
Character is doing the right thing when nobody's looking. There are too many people who think that the only thing that's right is to get by, and the only thing that's wrong is to get caught. ~J.C. Watts

I hate the argument that the anti-gunners make that the founding fathers could not have imagined rifles as deadly as the AR-15. The founders were smart guys. If you asked them what combat rifles would be like in two centuries, they could never have drawn a picture of one or tell you how it worked, but they would have said that it would have to have more firepower, range, accuracy, reliability and portability. We could make a similar prediction about combat rifles two centuries from now, even though the technology would probably be such that we could not even imagine.

A general more widespread use of "arms" outside of the 2A context would mean any weapon capable of being brought to bear in one's defense, the "one's" here also referring to a nation.
Doesn't bear also insinuate any arm you might be able to carry.. over your shoulder, pocket, holster? in other words, transport on your body?

In the context in question, yes it does.
In the final seconds of your life, just before your killer is about to dispatch you to that great eternal darkness, what would you rather have in your hand? A cell phone or a gun?

Not exactly. I don't care what your dictionary says: You "shut" a valve and you "close" and electrical switch...
