Presidential candidate Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) revealed on Wednesday she believes that instituting both a mandatory gun buyback program as well as criminally prosecuting American’s who refuse to hand those firearms over to the government are both “strong” ideas.

Im fairly certain that there is no police station that would want to take back the weapons from the people. It'll be too dangerous. Perhaps if it goes through it'll just be an unenforced law, like our border laws under democrats.

Is there anything traceable that ties a person to a fire arm right now?

That has always been the end goal. I’m glad they are done sugarcoating it.

Post a picture on social media? Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram?

Talk about a gun on a gun or post pictures on a Gun Board?

On the morning of April 19, 1775 the lawful government of North America sent troops to Lexington and Concord, MA, for the specific purpose of seizing the residents' arms and ammunition. The British troops sent by Governor General Gage were met at the Old Stone Bridge by rifle fire, thus starting the American Revolution that resulted in a country now known as the United States of America.

Throughout the American Revolution it is doubtful that at any given time more than 2% of the population actively engaged in the rebellion, and most of those enlisted for periods of less than 3-6 months (allowing them to maintain their homes, farms, and businesses). Carrying that statistic forward to 21st Century America, 2% of private gun owners amounts to about 1.1 to 1.2 million people, in possession of 7-10 million firearms and about 200 million rounds of ammunition.

Who is going to arrest that many people? Where will they house that many people (hint: every jail in the US is already overcrowded)? What court has the ability to conduct all the trials?

On the other side of the potential conflict we have a bunch of pansies who can't decide which public restroom to use each day.

Thomas Jefferson instructed us that from time to time the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of patriots and tyrants. There are plenty of wannabe tyrants; are there enough patriots to stand up to them?

    Interesting times.

You don't think the boat story won't fly? Just kidding. You are right, of course.

Hmm, this article says that we can buy a gun over the internet without a background check. Last time I checked it's illegal to do so without going through an FFL which means there will be a background check.

"If we can come together working with President Trump working with colleagues from both sides of the aisle and say that if you advertise the sale of a firearm over the Internet there should be a background check, that makes sense to me," Collins said.

I don't think there is a handful of people in congress that know what is involved to buy a firearm.

For those of us that have dealt with the NFA hoops, they know part of what we have and where to start looking.

No doubt about that. Fingerprints. Pictures. They know every single suppressor I own. Short barreled rifles. SBS's. Mg's.
