NM legislature passes 'red flag' law
30 of the state’s 33 county sheriffs opposed the legislation Governor Michelle Grisham said she will sign into law

SANTA FE, N.M. – New Mexico lawmakers pushed weeks of debate to a close late Thursday with passage of a red flag gun law — the final approval necessary to send the bill to Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham.

The state House passed the proposal 39-31 after about three hours of debate, putting New Mexico on track to become the 18th state in the nation with such a law.

I am so so disappointed in my old state. The state where my daughter teaches school and I draw my retirement from! I can only assume the commie governor intends to sign it. We owe it all the the influx of retirees over the last few decades from California, New York & other commie states!!!

NM appears to be one of the poorest states in the nation... consistently voting blue for a long time. No big surprise they went for a dumb law like that.

One state at at time, marching across the country, they are setting things up just the way they want for total control. Think back to Nazi Germany and to slightly more modern Russia and other extreme dictatorships - report your neighbors and even your relatives. Do not trust anyone at all, ever, because they will turn you in!!!! Keep the people isolated and totally frightened.

It is happening faster and faster all the time.

States will continue to introduce/pass red flag laws until the court make them stop . . . or not.

There was an article yesterday how FL has used red flag 3500 times, but in many cases, the sheriffs say those issued for suicide concerns still did themselves in, either by an illegally obtained firearm or some other method.

Take some useful idiots, then combine the current Social Justice movement with Red *** laws, and we are only a couple of steps behind Red China's Social Credit system. New Mexico! Who'd a thunk it?

    Let me guess...

The three other counties contain Albuquerque, Santa Fe and Las Cruces.

    Am I right?
