Some of the "deer hunters" I know don't really care if the "assault-weapons" get banned, they don't own one so don't care about the issue. What they fail to realize is that the people active in these movements never stop. When they get X banned, then they move on to getting Y banned, they get Y banned they move on to banning Z. It never stops. If they get "assault-weapons" banned, they'll move on to all other semi-autos. After semi-autos, it will be something else, probably handguns in general. It never ends, they find something else to go after to perpetuate their organizations.

Another example of this are the organizations involved in pushing the Wilderness areas, that never ends. The West has become littered with Wilderness Areas and "Wilderness Study Areas" and their list of proposed areas continues to grow. These people never disband after getting a victory, they just move on to their next goal.

Gun Free Zones are totally effective, and 100% safe ... (wait for it) ... (wait for it) ... until a bad guy with a gun shows up! Then suddenly, you have an uncontested Kill Zone of defensless sheep, patiently awaiting their turn for the slaughter.

Not a bad video, but at the same time, this doesn’t excuse their lack of relevance in the gun rights arena.

I liked the video but I "can't wait" to see how many people truly feel that way or "they'll have to pry my gun out of my cold dead hands". Regardless, we have a lot of work to do to get people into office that work for us and will take the oath of office seriously.

No doubt you did. But Kerry specifically said "AR-16". Probably a Freudian slip, but that's what he said.

100% agree. They had nothing to do with the incident or this guy's opinions. All they did was video it and publish it. It does not take a hugely funded lobbying group to do that. Amateur vloggers on YouTube do it all the time. What are they doing with the rest of the $400 million or so they spend every year? Whatever it is, it does not seem to be having much of an effect.

Interesting story about that guy. His name is Billy Redden and he was scouted by the Deliverance production crew as someone who looked "inbred" even though he is not. He did not play the banjo at all. He wore a special shirt that allowed a real banjo player to put his arms through to play the instrument, and the camera angles were set up to hide that. Even though that part got him three other movie roles over the years, he never got much money from it. He has mostly worked at Walmart since then.

I do not believe that fact. I believe that the closest Kerry was ever to a group of seals would have been at a zoo aquarium.

I would be interested in seeing factual information of his so-called "SEAL" career.
