10 mm ammo?

I bought a RIA 10mm off of gunsamerica yesterday, so won't have it for a couple of weeks. I plan on using this as a woods gun here in Montana. What recommendations do you have for ammo? Might be hard to find anything now! I was thinking 180 or 220 grain full metal jacket.

Bear Country? Look for "Hard Cast" ammunition.

I bought some from Buffalo Bore for that specific application. Those types of rounds you generally will only find online and not at a LGS, granted Montana might be different in that aspect.
For bear you want big hard cast. Buffalo Bore or Underwood IMO. Double Tap is a FAAARRRRR distant third.
Winchester 175 grain Silvertip is the best of the large commercial manufacturer's ammo. It is what I carry in my Kimber 1911 10mm. Buffalo Bore or Underwood 180 grain are both great rounds for woods carry. I carry either one of them in my Glock G20 SF.

If Grizzlies are around, I add a .44 magnum or .460 magnum revolver in addition to my 10mm.
I'd add a .30-06.
Just lube the handgun with peanut butter, then you can throw the gun down and run. Bear will likely become interested in the peanut butter and you could escape.
Double Tap offers a 200 hard cast laying down 750 foot pounds IIRC.
