10 round limit what would you carry?

I live in a state (Mass) where not only is there a 10 round limit but some guns you can't buy in this state. One gun I can't get are new glocks. If I want a glock it has to be sold privately or be a gen 2 and the prices are crazy. Also Springfield will not sell in this state. That is to name a few.

I am currently carrying a Shield but it is small and only holds 8 rounds. I have a glock 22 gen 2 which I also carry sometimes but it is a little in the large side and I am not a huge fan of the .40.

If you guys/gals were in my situation what would you be carrying? Would you go .45 because you don't get the 9mm benefit of more rounds?

I don't understand why you can't buy a Glock. My G30 only holds 10 rounds in the mag, so what would be the problem?

I've been wondering about this 10 (or 7 for that matter) round limit.

Is that for each gun?
My Ruger sr40c has a 9 round mag. One in the pipe and 9 in the mag. Every day...
I wouldn't like the 10 rd limit since I have many pistols with larger capacity mags that I carry on occasion......but in your situation, I'd carry what I carry everyday....Dan Wesson CCO(45 acp) with a spare 8 rd mag in my back pocket!

Springfield XD 45 sub compact. It's short mag holds exactly 10. Great gun. I carry it.
My edc is a h&k p2000 sk in 357 sig. Just won't be able to have the extended mags.

I have stated before to carry the largest caliber you can manage. Your situation validates this even more. A Commander size 45 ACP with an 8 round mag in the pocket would be with me everyday! Best of luck. I am evermore glad I live in Alabama!

I'd have no problem sticking with the Shield. Heck, in the summer, I carry a 6+1 Kahr PM9.

If you ever do get a Glock or want to carry the G22 you already have, they make 10 rd mags.

No Springfields here in Massachusetts. I know you said you don't like the .40s&w but the m&p 9c and 40c both hold 10+1 in a package not to different from what you have now. Personally though I would just stick with what you have and just carry two backup mags. And I bet someone will be making mag extensions for the shield soon.

I would like to see a 10 round shield mag. I was looking at a sr9c.
If I were you I would carry the G22 and buy 3 10 round mags for it. One for the gun and 2 for the belt

I have a G30 so in my case, I would carry that.
A good k frame S&W or Colt 1911 for every " climb and place".

I have a 15 round magazine for the 22 because the magazine is pre ban it is legal. I am leaning more towards carrying the 22. In a hybrid holster under a tshirt the printing isn't that bad. Wish smith or ruger made a glock 19 size gun.
Same as I do now either one of these with a speed strip Gun Firearm Revolver Trigger Starting pistol

I would be carrying my current EDC which is a Gen 4 Glock 26. Why can't you have a Glock with a 10 round magazine, such as the 26, shipped to your FFL?
