........DiPietro, R-East Aurora, is sponsoring a bill which would repeal the NY SAFE Act, effective immediately.
The bill, Assembly Bill 6238, has 11 co-sponsors but no counterpart has appeared so far in the state Senate.
“In the wake of the gross violations of the right to bear arms, the right to stand against improper search and seizure, and the right to due process on one of our citizens, Gov. Cuomo and the liberal left are allowing the provisions of the SAFE Act to continue to roll out,” DiPietro said in a news release issued April 15, the day the provision limiting the number of bullets allowed in a magazine became law.
“This provision is completely unenforceable and is a tactic being used to intimidate law-abiding citizens from availing themselves of their Second Amendment rights,” DiPietro said. “I will continue to fight for a complete repeal of this law.”
