I have a glock 19. If I shoot 115 grn I'm always down to the left on 15 and 25 yard targets. When I shoot 124 grn I'm just about dead on, a little to the left but I think that's because I'm left eye dominant and right handed. So I have always been shooting 124 grn.

I just started re-loading and am using 124 grn. Once again I'm shooting down to the left. So I am now confused as how I should compensate. Re-adjust my trigger finger or try less powder in my load. My concern with less powder is I already had 2 out of 100 rounds fail to eject, I'm afraid if I cut back on powder I will have ejection issues.

I agree it's something to do with "me". I'm just confused as to why 115 is off, factory 124 I'm good and re-loaded 124 I'm off.

Is 9mm your only caliber and do you only have one firearm? What I mean is do you do this with only one of your firearms and only in 9mm?

I know many who shoot .45acp much better than they can shoot 9mm and both are the same weapon system. Whether it be Sig or Glock to name the 2 systems in question.. They simply shoot the bigger and more recoil heavy round better.

I shoot 115gr copper plated (CMJ) projectiles from Frontier in my G19 and G34. I use AP70N which is equivalent to Hodgson universal.

Load is 4.65gr

Im not an accurate shooter by far (not competition accurate anyway) and at 25 yards the G34 will do 6" groups on the black.

The G19 ive recently sighted in with Glock adjustable sights and its good for 6" groups at 15 yards.

I was shooting low and left with the stock fixed sights as well.

I put night sites on and got rid of the standard sites a couple of years ago. That did make a big difference. I have Hodgon hs-6 which appears to use a different weight then universal.

I just find it strange that with 115 I'm low to the left, with 124 I'm accurate.

How much change are you seeing?

I would expect small changes on the order of perhaps an inch but nothing significant unless there is a significant difference in power level between loads.

I find revolvers to exhibit the greatest change between fast and slow bullets as their bore axis is higher than the typical semi auto.

Difference in barrel time will cause vertical movement and torque left right based on rifling twist.

You might need to tighten your hold and arm muscles a bit.

At 15 yrds with 115 grn and my home brewed 1224 I'm about 2 inches left and about 2 or 3 down. With factory 124 I'm just about dead center. I will work on tightening my grip and see if that makes a difference.

It's not just the tightness of the grip, it's the whole stance that matters. You can grip a gun as tight as possible, but if your arms are slack and/or your overall stance is unbalanced, the same thing is going to happen.

One should always be leaning into the target slightly, not leaning back or to one side or having a "straight-up" stance. Standing straight up will get you rocked back on your heels. While it is more noticeable with long guns, it will happen with handguns, too.
