Came across this news piece today:

Movie star BRUCE WILLIS supports Americans in their constitutional right to carry a gun, insisting everyone should be able to defend themselves with a weapon if need be. The DIE HARD actor is keen to point out gun owners are not automatically violent. He says, "If you take guns away from legal gun owners then the only people who would have guns would be the bad guys. "Even a pacifist would get violent if someone were trying to kill him or her. "You would fight for your life, whatever your beliefs. You'd use a rock or tear one of these chairs out of the floor. "Hey, maybe I've been watching too many Bruce Willis movies!"

Die Hard is one of the best action movies ever! I always thought old Bruce had a little sense about him.

Refreshing to have a Hollywierd person as a pro - way too many who have been in gun totin' flicks who are hipocritical and very anti.

IMO if an actor is anti he/she should not take parts involving gun useage - but then I guess the mighty dollar speaks louder than conscience!

Yep, you're right. These 'celebrities' are smug hypocrites. Many make big money starring in ultra-violent flicks.

Offscreen they are chauffered about. They take their handlers and bodyguards wherever they go.

They self-rightously object to anything that offends their 'know-it-all' sensibilities.

Worst of all, they oppose average law abiding people the right to bear arms because 'Hollywood knows better' than 'regular folk'.

Some of the biggest offenders include ultra-violent onscreen and raging anti-gun liberals offscreen: George Clooney and Alec Baldwin.

Anybody watch Selleck's latest Jesse Stone movie? It aired on CBS last Sunday.

Very good 1911 and AR shooting scenes.

Scroll down to the part where hysterical anti-gun idiot Rosie O'Donnell had Tom Selleck on her program back in '99 and attacked him for his ties to the NRA.

Made for a great action movie, but would have been better off if he had just stashed the body somewhere and went after them one at a time until Alan Rickman was wondering where all his guys disappeared to.

Naaah! Then we wouldn't have the scene where all the glass on the second or third floor was blown out, or where the roof was blown off the building.:congrats: Now those are the kinds of things that make a movie great!

That is based on a series of books by Robert B. Parker, who also wrote the Spenser series of mysteries.

Spenser, as well as Stone, are both somewhat conservative, very pro gun characters.

Both Stone movies show detailed shooting range scenes where Selleck drums accuracy and tactics into his young deputies.

I actually SAW that show. She was so rude, I think she even embarrassed her live audience of liberals. Tom was a true gentleman in this situation. 'Cause I'd have shredded her support of (at the time--before the K-Mart Boycott organized by NRA members) K-Mart who is one of the biggest gun sellers in the nation. I'd have brought up her armed bodyguards and elitism. Oh man I live for the times I can debate somebody like her, who probably never even listened in her American Government or American History classes.

Jason Priestly played Billy on the movie Tombstone is very pro-gun too. Don't forget Donna Howard from DALLAS who does so many of the NRA's Instructional Videos.
