Greetings,

I searched around, but couldn't find any information on Aguila. How is the quality of their product? Their prices look really good, I was thinking about using their ammunition for target practice. I've been using Fiocchi for target practice, any thoughts on how Aguila compares to Fiocchi? Thanks for your time!

Sincerely,

Not compared to Fiocchi but what I have used over many years periodically has been pretty OK. So - no complaints.

They also do the ''Super Colibri'' - shorties with 20 grain bullet and just primer propellant - pretty quiet and good out of a revo for rats!

Oh and - doubt I have said hi yet Peter. -

thanks

Greetings,

Thanks for the heads-up. I realize you get what you pay for, but I had never heard of Aguila before and just wanted to make sure their product wasn't junk. I was looking for something decent that was cheap and I think the Aguila will fit that bill. Take care!

Sincerely,

I have heard of them from time to time. I find the Federal 525 pack of .22 to be the one of the best values. The round is much better than the Remington out of Ruger MKII. I have had lots of failures or all sorts with the Remington out of handguns and rifles. The Federals haev been flawless.

Burns dirty, but that Super Colibri is just as good as silencer when something in the back yard is begging to be shot........

Which one, I use the 1450 fps .45 round in my CCW gun claimed to penetrate a level II I have read several threads on this and even "second Chance" admits to there vest being compromised by the round on occasion, As many BG's are wearing this stuff now I Dutch load my mag with them and Hydra's They also make a subsonic .22

I've shot both the Aquila Super Maximum 30 gr 22s and the 22-SSS
60 gr sub-sonic 22. The 22 - SSS is a 60 grain bullet loaded in a 22 short case with a length equal to a 22 LR. This is a great short range thumper round. I have used it on many raccoons and it definitly brings them down. Problems: They do seem to be rather dirty and the 60 gr bullet does not stabilize well from a standard 22 barrel. This is why it is a short range round for me. Cabellas carries them.
