AK47 Sling

I bought a CIA C39V2 recently. I'm not planning on doing anything to it right now. Just keep it the way it is with open sights for plinking and SHTF. I do want to put a good sling on it though. I've looked all over town and only found a couple in stock. I was wondering what sling you guys would recomend for SHTF senario. Thanks for any input.

The Proctor Sling is the only 2 point adjustable sling on the market that comes with all mounting hardware necessary to attach to a variety of long guns (AR-15, Shotgun, Precision rifles, AK-47, Hunting Rifles etc.). It is not only the lightest sling on the market (at 2oz.), but there is no extra hardware to buy. It comes with everything needed to attach to a variety of guns.

I have some of these on my AR riles and they work great. Light weight.......simple design.........no mounting hardware needed.
That should do it. Cheap, effective and made for it.
How do you like your C39V2? Did you add a scope, a red dot or keep it open sights?

I am really liking the C39V2, very well made compared to a lot of AKs, mine has been quite accurate and 100% reliable. I'm going to stay with open sights for the time being, I am going to remove the factory rear sight and install a Krebs Custom AK peep sight though, which should be here tomorrow. :hand10:

I agree with the suggestion of a standard mil-surp AK sling, they work.

You should start a post with a review of your C39V2 and show pics of your new sight. If you do, send me a link so I don't miss it. I hope that new peep sight works out well for you. If it does, I think I'll try one on mine. Thanks for the info on the sling.
I used normal stock old slings on mind

But I have been looking at the blue force slings very nice

Oh and ps keep a eye on the bolt and other parts on the C39 they are first to go on them ..A lot of people have swap them out with mil spec bolt carries due to the fun

Maybe they have worked it out now ..I hope

I wont touch them ..But they seem populare ..

You're welcome sir, I have a "tactical" sling on my AR, in all honesty, it doesn't do much of anything more than a Mil-Spec sling does.

I'll try to get some pictures of the sight (if it does make it today), PACanis has the Krebs sight (as some others here do), maybe he/they can give you their thoughts on it too. As far as how they are holding up, here's a review by M.A.C. on his "later version" C39v2 (not the stamped RAS47 nor early C39s and C39v2s).
