All right!! Finished up my paperwork and finally have my appointment for my CCW interview... on Nov 21 . Sheriffs clerk told me it was a 4-6 month wait but damn if its not on the tail end of the spectrum. lol

Oh well, I guess thats one way to weed out those who truly desire a CC and those who just "want" one.

I did add my name down to be called should they get a cancellation though. Hopefully I can get moved up lol

LET THE WAITING BEGIN!!!!!

Wow! 4 to 6 month wait just for the interview. Good luck and remember - good things come to those who wait.

That kind of bureaucracy is a form of gun control in and of itself. November? How long after your interview, assuming that this bureaucrat that performs this interview even approves you, do you then have to wait for your permit? At this rate, it could be 2014.

Kyle, I genuinely admire your positive outlook and enthusiasm. It is refreshing.
I agree. He's playing the hand that was dealt and smiling. I like it! Personally, I'd have given the dealer the bird and left the casino, but I'm a glass-half-empty kinda guy... :embarassed:

You gotta be interviewed to exercise your constitutional right? That's pathetic, sad and scary all at the same time. What kind of questions do they ask you?

Sadly, I agree with all your posts. I honestly think that an open carry would go a far way to solving some of our criminal issues. But that being said and having been in the Marine Corps for 5 years, I've learned to deal with the hurry up and wait and rushing to get things done just to sit with my thumb up my a$$.

I can't believe I have to interview to carry my legally registered weapon but it is what it is, and I have no plans retiring out here. Thankfully SBC is a will issue and all I have to do is provide proof of need to carry, something I think I locked on in my statement. I've no idea what will be asked of me at the interview but if anyone would like to share insight that would be great.

Until then, plenty of range time (which I love any ways) and open carrying around my property.

Praying you don't need it between now and ever.

I hope your wait is short, your interview good, your next wait also short, and you arrive at the end of your life many many years from now thanking someone that you never needed to go through all of that afterall.

I can't believe in CA you have to register your tools which enable you to exercise your 2nd amendment rights.

In CA do you have to register your voices, computers and phones so you can exercise your 1st amendment rights?
