So I purchased my two pistols just over a month ago, and about 3 weeks ago I picked up a Fobus Paddle holster. I've been carrying the USPc around in the Fobus off and on, around the house. I'm not able to get a CCW in NJ.

Anyway, I wore the pistol around for most of the this morning while I did my chores, and as I walked out of the house to go to classes, I actually MISSED the weight of having it there.

It's the same way that I am with my cell phone or my emergency services pager(s). Or my knife for that matter.

If it's not on my person, I'm actually aware of that fact!

Anyway, thought it was a breakthrough, and wanted to share :)

Yeah, I think it is terrible that your state does not have a CCW. Yes it is awesome to have a way to protect yourself at home, but what about outside of the home. I think it is time for you to write your congressman. I have been to Jersey and a CCW is most needed.

You're also there when you don't miss with it.

It is so rare that I am without the gun - I feel more than aware when on the odd occasion it is off. More likely than not the rig is still there but the lack of weight from the piece is in a sense uncomfortable!

No - maybe that should be highly discomforting!

I don't miss the pre CCW days at all. Sucks to not be able to carry anymore.

I do feel more comfortable being magnetic. I've been carrying for a long time. So...I am just used to having some sort of firearm on my person the majority of the time. I don't get all bent out of shape if I'm not packing but I usually prefer to be armed.

When you walk out of the house and get halfway to work before you realize it's still on, THEN you're there... which is somewhere between work and home with a gun you're CCing illegally. :)

So, no titanium for you, eh?

Sorry, I'm on pain drugs... feels very nice, but everything's SO funny!

I had a similiar experience lately when I was able to carry every day for a week while on vacation. I cannot yet carry at work (working on the holster issue and clothing choices) but it does ride along in my briefcase. When vacation ended, I missed it, now I have to rush home and change just so I can feel its presence once more. Is this thread a little strange or is it just me.....

Dangerous areas:
school zones
malls
churches
Didn't they used to be safe areas?

You're there when the doc says "bad case of scoliosis" but it's the Desert Eagle you've been totin'.

Strange? Us?

Have a blast at LFI, Hoosier.

Ya know, I read here everyone telling everyone else that your CCW isn't as obvious to everyone as you think it is... "jeans and t-shirt" yada yada yada... and I believe them but I don't "believe" them. I think my revolver's going to stick out like a sore thumb.

Over the weekend I'm carrying as my wife and I look at realestate. She hugs me several times and I think to myself that she's taking the idea of my having a gun very well, she she usually at least rolls her eyes. We get home, I lift up my shirt and take off the gun and she asks "Did you have that the whole time??!!"

Hmmm... maybe there's something to what they say.

Wear your darn gun. Unless you're a complete fool nobody will notice
