I'm looking for a quality ankle holster that will keep my .40 subcompact XD against my leg. I'm often in situations where I need deep concealment options and am wondering what are some of the best ankle holsters around.

I do not have one but folks rave IIRC over Galco ankle rigs. Sorry - no URL to hand.

There is only one ankle holster - Lou Alessi's
All others pale by comaparison; that's why I don't even bother making them.

I couldn't have said it better myself. Lou is da man for ankle rigs. (Josh Bulman ain't bad, either.)

I have used a Galco Cop Ankle Band for a few years now when I really want a discreet place for my j frame. I like it a lot. Really holds snugly to the ankle. I know that almost everyone raves about the Allessi and I have tried one. I still like the Galco.

I have heard nothing but great things about Alessis' - I have a Galco Glove Ankle Holster for my G27. I really like it. If you can't afford Alessi's -go for the $80 Galco - well worth it. Whatever you do, don't get an Uncle Mike's!
