I did not want to hijack the other thread.

Here in Indiana about twelve years ago, two idiots shot up a Denny's during a hold-up.

A few people died, and several were injured.
I apologize I forget the numbers.

A young man (18-21) was wounded along with his girlfriend's little boy.
The little boy did not biologically belong to the young man, and the girlfriend/mother was not present.

The young man took the little boy, told the shooter's he and the child were leaving, and left.

The young man was shot again on the way out to his car.
He managed to drive to the hospital, and both he and the boy survived.

I think about this every time I go out to eat.

Now that's COJONES.

Kudo's for the young man to think that much of a young child to stand up and walk out.

Were the BG's caught?

Sounds like a prime case for Capitol Punishment.

In many a survival scenario the will to survive is what tips the scales one way or the other and our willingness, as human beings, to risk our own lives for others is what sets us apart from the animals ... and the BG's.
This individual was obviously more driven by the will to save the boy than by the fear he must have felt for his own life and the determination to save both allowed him to make it to the hospital after being shot.
IMHO

I do too. The problem here in Ohio is that any good place is off-limits.
Makes me mad, but I know the weapon is in the Jeep.
I've have many bad issues with Denny's and this doesn't make me want to change my view.

Me too, too.
Especially now that I have read about when a top Al-queda (How do you spell that anyhow Chris?) terrorist was spotted in an Avon, CO Denny's in the last year or so. Same Denny's I have taken my boys to eat when we come down the mountain from our hunting trips.
Yah, I'm packing @ THAT Denny's now.

AND, I do appreciate how there are no restrictions on carrying in CO restaurants, as long as YOU are not drinking.

Elk - this is supposedly the correct spelling - "Al-Qaeda" - but it does seem surveying the web that ''Al-Queda'' is almost as much used!!!

Take ya pick

Thanks!
I couldn't remember. I get stuck on that english "Qu" thing. "Qa" just doesn't look right at first glance.

I knew I could count on ya.

I think one ate his gun, and the other surrendered.

The one that surrendered got twenty years or so.

Pathetic.
