I hope he winds up with the full year in jail, in this case he deserves it. Actually all anti's need to be in jail, we'd all be better off.

So, where did this guy get $3,000 for the AR? Probably from parishioners he's unwittingly robbing on Sunday's.

This guy needs to learn a lesson about law. Even if Oregon's law is unfair to law abiding citizens, what he did is similar to a straw purchase.

No mercy for this fool. Prosecute to the full extent of the law!

OK, I get that he used the $3000 to buy the raffle tickets to support a charity, but if the whole goal was to to destroy the rifle, he could have spent the same $3000 and bought 4-5 ARs to destroy. I mean that would have really made him all goosepimpley. Oh but wait, instead of being prosecuted for one count of illegallly transfering a weapon, it could be 4-5 and he would be in even deeper do do.

Well, you know, bilking people for $3k and becoming a de facto straw purchaser is all hunky dory because he cares and it's for the childrun and , well, we're all haters .
