One reason I love the Baltimore Antique gun show. One day a year and some of the most fascinating firearms you will ever see. It was simply amazing in the 80-90's

I don’t understand how the ring gun would fire and I don’t believe it was expected to be fatal.
I can see it’s usefulness for certain professions to stay on the safe side of business transactions.

IS the 2mm pinfire even lethal (in most cases not exceptions)? It might scare off an attacker if used though.

Very cool. This reminds me of these.

Here's a absurd one in .38 special.

Palm Pistol® ← Constitution Arms
Thanks Outdoorguy. Is that a laser on the barrel?
I would be more interested in a .32 with a capacity of 5, 6 or more rounds.
But, truth is, if I ever hold one in my hand, I may change my mind about owning such a design.
Well, in the meantime I'll just be content with my P365. :)

In the old days stuff like this was very very common ... Esp in very small rounds pin-fire etc ..

Think about this we are talking what 18 and 19 century yes most of the rounds these gun fired would prob not be lethal out right but we start talking infection etc and lack of any good medical care well you prob did not want to get shot as even if you lived ..Well blood poisoning sets in you had it . So someome pulls a gun on you prob want to avoid being shot esp if you knew even if you lived prob lack of wound care get you in the end ....

Reminds me of a British army fellow who got challenged to a dual in the late 18th century and showed up near naked to the dueling ground as he was a army surgeon and knew that it was the clothing etc getting driven into the wound that would often do you in so he firg less issue if he got shot ..Course him being near naked also worked as they called off the dual .

Back in the day you would find a lot of lady gun like this they was a number that came with purse holster etc .. Also so called Biking guns or dog guns were populare to shoot at dogs trying to maul you on your bike which I guess was a bigger problem back then or again could be you dont want to get bit as see lack of any real medical care ...
