Yeah, that's an old spent rifle cartridge. Other than that, I can't help you lol. Where'd you find that at?
Yes, it's a spent rifle cartridge case, probably from the modern era.

If you need further information, you should at least clean off the headstamp.
Yeah, it's a military 30.06 round, manufactured in Saint Louis in 1943.

Weird I found it at the base of a 100 year old Oak, 3" down in New Orleans.

Based on a comparison to a cigarette pack normal size pack of cigarettes is about 3 1/2 inches whereas 100s are about 4 inches I think the Pack is from Mallboro lights. So that makes the pack about 3 1/2 inches high 50 Cal is roughly 4 inches so if you put all that together I would say it's an old 50 caliber case. Probably from around the WWII era. Just a guess though as I'm no Sherlock Holmes but that's what I'd say it is
I thought it was a Dodge Ram, circa 2009

Don't be silly. The Ram had more taper in the shoulder and was smaller in the back.

That cigarette package has some miles on it, if you are not smoking that many that quick you should just quit smoking.:danceban:
I think you need to clean your fingernails before you sit down to eat and stop smoking Marlboros.
