I've been using Gold Dot 124 gr hp's and some wallmart Winchester and some remington fmj to break in my Kel Tech PF9, getting fairly good results. There have been some FTF's and probably a few were caused by my limp wristing the gun. Anyway, I was wondering if 115 gr Hornady Critical Defense rounds function well in a PF9? I know my G26 will eat just about anything but I'm not sure of the PF9. Anyone have any experience with the round in the PF9?

I have had issues with some 124 grain hp's, but not with XTP's, never tried CD's but those XTP's feed fine.

I have not had a problem with mine but I did read somewhere that they do not like over 115 grain ammo. That is all I shoot may be why I have not had a problem.

I've run Critical Defense through my Taurus PT-709. Search the ammo threads here and on several other forums and you'll find that there have been some no-fires with CD, particularly in smaller guns. I had two no-fires in the first ten rounds through the 709. The rounds did fire on the second strike. I'm running Hydra-Shoks in my carry gun until I can run enough CD to get a warm & fuzzy about it. When it goes bang, I've had no issues with it having sufficient power to cycle the slide on the 709, and no issue with feeding.

I use them in my Beretta 92FS, they feed and were available at the time, I have and used the Hornady 9mm XTP HPs before. I can't say how effective they are in a SD situation.
