Anyone here carry a fullsize weapon 24/7?

I have recently began to carry a Glock 17 full time other than on duty, in which case a Sig 229 is a must. I wear 2xl button up shirts and a Don Hume Agent 9 with a stiff belt and double up with suspenders (under the shirt) that hook on the belt, made by Dickies. This is a very light weight and comfortable wear.

Anyone else go to these lengths?

I\'ve been carrying a fullsize 1911 for a number of years. Also carried an H&K USP 45 for a few years.

Usually two

Not sure what you call \'full size\', but I often carry two belt guns, or primary guns, and at least one bug. One of my favorites is a pair of P7M8s.

Sometimes revolvers, sometimes autos. In the summer when in a revolver mood, an N frame 44, and two L frame 44s.

Know one trainer that carrys two 1911s on the belt.

NY reloads are faster then the magazine fumble under stress.

About half the time I carry a full size Kimber Custom TLE II in an IWB holster behind a Wilderness belt. The other half I carry a 4\" Kimber, or one of my others....

This was me until a few months ago. I\'m carrying a full size all steel Witness 40 in an HBE IWB rig, with Hakan grips.
Revently I switched to the incredible CZ75 PO1, the best fitting most accurate pistol I have ever tried, and will post a pic when I can. That is, unless general consensus is my photography skills bite....

I don\'t carry a full-size gun, though my USP \"compact\" can probably pass for one. Once I did pack my 6\" 686 in a strong-side holster under a suede blaser just because.

I carry a fullsize 1911 everyday, mostly IWB with shirt untucked..

I guess you could say i carry 24/7?

With the exeption of school, i carry in a tuckable IWB Galco Skyops holster.

When at home i generally dress down in clothes that either do not have pockets or non-beltable pants so i just carry my holstered Sig239 with me in my hand.

I live alone so its not really a big deal and i haven\'t managed to forget it anywhere around the house yet

Well I find it impossible to carry 24/7. I haven\'t found that rig that works in bed

, that and there are 7 areas where I\'m not allowed to carry concealed in Virginia. Oh and the surgeon wouldn\'t let me carry in the operating suite last week for my surgery. I\'m also finding I can\'t carry right now as I recover.

Having said that, when I can carry, which is often, I have carried the following: S&W 610 3\", 624 3\", 629 3\", 686 4\", G17, G19, BHP, SIG P220ST, and P228. If I recall correctly all have ridden on my Galco gun belt in various maker holsters. Although I have to admit I have carried the Glocks in my front pocket. Pants in tall sizes have deeper pockets BTW.

Also shirts in the tall sizes are longer so if you untuck them you can hide an arsenal under there and no one can see it.

I must have a big enough backside that I don\'t need suspenders.

Maybe later if I lose the weight my doc has told me to lose.

Anyway here is a thread relevant picture of me carrying my G17 in a Galco high ride with FBI cant. Basically to conceal I put on a shirt and it is gone. The lady is a student shooting my BHP 9mm. She liked it so much she went looking for one to purchase. I have a Yaqui slide for the BHP, but I haven\'t carried it for a couple years now. On the pocket is a Spyderco Delica that is more tool than knife these days.

Nice open air, indoor range. We could use one of those around here. I like shooting outside but the outside range that\'s close is wide open with just an awning cover.

Thanks Bumper. It\'s taken about 8-9 years to get it where it is. This is the club I\'m the current president of, and was the range chairman at one point. There is sound proofing in the roof, the side walls are filled with gravel, and there a benches you can sit at or stand as we are in the photo.

It is basically in a pit so the wind isn\'t bad and inside the range house you are well protected from the elements. We have plans to concrete the floor and a few other improvements, but it is a pretty good facility. The key thing with houses within about 100yds we have a very safe range. I could post some down range photos and you would see no sky anywhere from any shooting position. The only way to get a bullet off our range is to do it intentionally.

Post the pics, I love to see a well designed range. I have been ruminating about buying or building one when I retire which is a few years away.

Is it walled and covered all the way to the end? Pistol only or rifle and pistol?

Building a range? Hmmm, move to Phoenix....still can catch the van to work.....hmmm....need an NRA certified RSO????

Our favorite outdoor range - 10 position, pit toilets, no water, 20 miles away, and NOBODY there! IE, no waiting....The backstop is about 800 feet high, and kinda natural....

I\'ll take the camera to our next outing.....

I carry a .40 caliber Glock 22 every day in a C-TAC holster. I usually wear jeans, a tucked in t-shirt, then the holster (with a belt, of course), and an untucked button shirt with some type of design on it, usually from Old Navy or some such store. It completely vanishes.

From time to time, I will wear a tucked in polo shirt, and it still vanishes. The only \"problem,\" so to speak, would be that you can then see the clips attaching to the belt. Most would never notice, of course.
