I tote a Kimber Classic Gold Match modified for carry/or a Kimber Custom/STI Trojan (9mm) in a Brommeland MaxConVI. All my 1911\'s are 5\" all steel guns. I came to this thru trial and error. Tried smaller guns and just didnt like them as much. Also, staying w full size 1911\'s keeps my gear and accessories interchangable, except for mags for the 9mm Trojan. When my wife left her job to stay home w our kids, I figured I could get everything done I needed to do w the full size guns I had, so I sold off my others, along w the mags and leather. It really kinda made my life easier.
Another factor that contributed to this decision was a phenomena I noticed at the classes I was taking. First day of class, folks show up w a pistol w the barrel so short the front and rear sights touch and the grip so short that only 2 fingers fit. Second morning, same folks arrive at line w a full size version of whatever gun they had yesterday. There\'s gotta be a reason for that. And I\'ve got my theories.

Bumper, that\'s the little known, hard to find, primitive and cheap Tucson Mountain Park range, on the south side of the Tucson Mountain Park, a nice public park. Pit toilets and no water on site, but never full. $4 a person to shoot all day, too...:)

I like those kinds of ranges. If my buddy moves down that way I may have to go down and check it out. :)

Depending on your perspective, my take out the trash load (when I\'m not anticipating any problems at all) consists of 2 full size guns. One just happens to fit in my front pocket. Of course, I am 6\'8\". ;0

My trusty Sig 226 that\'s showing its age, not that it matters as a carry gun, and a S&W 296 Titanium .44 special.

I carry a FN-FNX 45 ACP Tactical 24 seven. Inside the waistband. I carry five extra magazines at all times. On the same belt, I carry a tactical tourniquet, EMS scissors-they are fabulous from many things, a pair of hinged handcuffs, a multi tool, and a double mag inside the waistband carrier. Works like a charm!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸☠☠☠

I like the mid size for concealment. HKP30, 1911 Government size, Glock 23, etc. Two reasons,
the grips fit my hand better
the sight radius is just a little longer

That's a lot of gear. Out of curiosity, what is your waist size?

Hey Ex, have you thought of, or looked into, a man purse??? One would carry all your "carry supplies" and your billfold, etc., as well. I got started several years ago when my wife was seriously ill and I became her Primary Care Giver. I needed to be carrying her medications, extra underpants, etc., as well as my own things and my Carry items. Since she has been gone, I just kept using the man purse because it has become so convenient and handles comfortably any self defense supplies I want to carry.

Just a thought!!

I wasn't here in 2004, so I'll answer now.
In over 4 years the smallest gun I've carried is a Glock 19/23/32, in a "good area", in the FL heat.
My secret? A loose untucked shirt.
I encourage others to cease unrequired shirt tucking, nobody cares; don't self limit your carry.
