No, I do not carry anything 24/7. Some number of hours, in each 24, a guy has to get some sleep. ;) (I realize that the OP has not been here, since March 2005.) I do tend to carry duty-sized guns, many of the days, of every 365.

Edited to add: Well, now that I think about it, on a few straight-through road trips, over long distances, during which I occasionally napped in the reclined truck seat, I have carried a GP100 24 hours a day, but those were two-to-three-day trips, not 7+.

On average I'm probably unarmed more hours during a day than armed so I'm going to say No.
Love the zombie threads lots of forum member names that aren't "regulars".
The first two pages feature a bunch of members who never reached one hundred posts, as well as a few from Defensive Carry's founder.

Bumper? What ever happened to him?
He moved on to other things after the Canadian deal. He started another site shortly after the takeover, personaldefenseforum.net, comprised almost entirely of members from this site.

Oh wait, I think I was/am a member there.
It changed hands and the new owner passed, correct?

It has been defunct for awhile, so no need to update your membership status. I was a member until I got banned. Awhile later I got invited back. Then I think I got banned again.

I believe that was what happened. There was at least one ownership change on the in-between, as well.

You're consistent if nothing else. The site went through three owners before going down for the count when the third one died.

I used to. The older I get the smaller and lighter the EDC gets. A browning hipower for for almost a decade. A full sized 1911 for over a decade. A Glock 17 for a few. A Glock 29 for a few. Then the Glock 26. Now I carry a 442 snub every day and when I need it upgrade to the lightweight commander for city carry.

C'mon, I've mellowed considerably since getting kicked off every forum I've ever been a member of...

I feel like I posted on both for awhile after the split, then that one became all the annoying stuff that got booted from here, so I dropped off.

Back when I worked in Gun Shops I experimented with all sizes. Tried a Glock 26 and some 357 Revolvers. I then went to strictly J-Frames. Now Years down the road I inherited a Springfield XDm 3.8 20 shot 9mm. With the replaceable back straps I have a, what I consider, full size gun that actually fits my hand and bent trigger finger. It took a week to get used to carrying but, it shoots so nice. I guess I’m backwards. Most old guys are looking for small and light. I went to a 2lbs gun with a 19 round mag.

Well, picked up a RIA TACII 1911 yesterday, along with a IWB holster, cause that was the only holster the store had at the time. I have been carrying at the 3:30 position and have hardly noticed it was there, ride very comfortable in that position, even when driving.
