I feel your pain.
The wife just went to the class with the Sheriff in our county. She had been on the list for the class since January. No kidding. There were 150 applicants ahead of her and she is just now getting the class done. Now it's shoot at the range on Saturday and file the application. WV says 45 days from the date of the application to when the permit is issued, but I suspect with the large number, that wait will be much longer. We are not required to be fingerprinted in WV, but they do a background check. You can take a class outside of the Sheriff's Office, but they are getting stupid expensive and classes are huge.
We can probably thank the guys and gals in Washington, DC for the sudden deluge of applications. Good luck, stay calm and you will get it eventually.
