I was looking at the J&G catalog and there are many used S&W model 10 and S&W model 64 for sale at a good price. Question are these pistols rated for +P ammo?

According to S&W's website, yes. But that could just be for current production ones, I honestly don't know. Someone wiser can probably let you know if it depends on the age since we are talking about used ones here.

I have a model 10 that I was given new probably 40 yrs. ago & have shot +Ps through it, & keep it loaded with +Ps, but I would not solely feed it +Ps.

just my .02

Yes, any model marked Smith & Wesson K-Frame revolver will handle +P ammunition. Smith & Wesson began the numeral model designations in 1957.

One more way to tell...If it has the serial number stamped on the inside of the frame at the crane, it's rated for +P...I found this the other day on the S&W website, while looking for some other info...

Yes you can, but I would not give steady diets of +p as this will eventually stress out the frame.
