Makes me proud to be a Missourian!
South Carolina has a group of bills currently floating around in the legislature that also are showing the big middle finger to all these hapless dupes and vulture politicians feeding off the carcasses of the 20 dead children in Sandy Hook.
We still need preemption or the open carry stuff doesn't mean jack - put an end to that foolishness right now.
Don't want to be a pessimist, but it was only one house passing the bills, they have to make it through the other house and get signed by the Governor. You still have a LONG way to go before it becomes law.
Thank God... After the last piece of legislation proposed locally I was getting scared...
Here's a good article on the legislation: Missouri House resoundingly passes strong 'Second Amendment Preservation Act' @ Examiner.com.

Just found this and thought people would want to know who, in Missouri, is an a-hole

"House Bill 545 has no grandfather clause. Meaning, those who fail to sell, get rid of, or turn over their ‘illegal’ guns and magazines within 90 days would be slapped with a felony.

Rep. Roy Ellinger sponsored the bill along with his Democratic peers, Reps. Jill Schupp, Margo McNeil and Walton Gray."

also....

does this mean we can own full-auto guns in Missouri now?

"All federal acts, laws, orders, rules, and regulations, whether past, present, or future, which infringe on the people's right to keep and bear arms as guaranteed by the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution and Article I, Section 23 of the Missouri Constitution shall be invalid in this state, shall not be recognized by this state, shall be specifically rejected by this state, and shall be considered null and void and of no effect in this state."
