Well Maryland was getting ready to vote out its ballistics database, but I guess that won't be happening. Why you ask? Well Maryland just got their FIRST conviction from it! :adore:

It only took about 5 years 43,000 casings, and 2.6 million dollars! but that will be enough to save it I'm sure.

On the plus side, in the 208 times the database has been used, there have beem a wopping 6 "hits"! :shakehand

"This scarcasm provided at no extra cost!" :3:

How stupid do you have to be to be convicted because of a ballistics database match? Did this guy not have access to a metal file?

If I were going to plan to kill someone with a firearm I'd love to see a ballistics database. I would go to a range and pick up handfuls of brass. Then I'd just pull the old switcheroo at the crime scene and let someone else go to jail.

Damn it Euclidean; there you go thinking logically again; you have to remember we are dealing with politicians!!! Logic, reality, and practicality have NOTHING to do with it :slap: :buttkick: :3a:
