I use a Defender from www.action-direct.com quite a bit. In fact, I have two of them. They do a good job of distributing the weight of the gun, and they are tuckable. I wear mine below the wasteline so that my belt helps with retention and keeps the band from riding up on me.
The gun is easily drawn, and it works well with my Glock 27 and my S&W 4006. I have carried my 4" K frames in it, but it works better with my bottom feeders than it does with my revolvers.
The one drawback to it is that you really can't reholster that quickly.
Got one two or so years ago - very comfortable but - danged if I could prevent it riding up over time.
There are those that say they work well as ''chest bands'' - yet to try that. A guy I know who is a holster maker - well, specials, not leather - asked me about just this and I reckoned a Defender style but flesh colored - could be quite useful.
That said - 99% of my carry requirment is met by my regular 16/7 OWB.
