I have that same holster without the thumb break for my Glock 17 ,Don Hume 721 OT it is a very good holster for the money. It holds the gun very securely,I do not think a thumb break is needed for CCW it only complicates the draw and adds bulk to the holster. That holster is available with 1 1/2" belt slots also but you might have to order it directly from Don Hume to get it with 1 1/2" belt slots.1 3/4" is a little wide for some slacks although some jeans and BDU type pants will accept 1 3/4" belts.I also have a matching two ply DH leather belt that is very rigid and also a very good bargain at $50.

I am 6'3" and weigh 312 lbs. We are kindred spirits. I can recommend the Wilderness 5-stitch as an excellent gun belt at what I consider to be a reasonable price.:congrats:

I recently got a belt from Tucker GunLeather http://shop.store.yahoo.com/rlcompanyusa/tugu.html
and I am very impressed with the quality and the
sturdiness of the belt. Mine is a 1.5 inch Bullhide,
double layered.
I have a Galco belt, and a DeSantis belt, but this Tucker
seems to have more backbone than either of those.
My opinion.

Thanks guys for all your suggestions. I might look into something local, the interent prices are pretty good but with shipping might end up out of my price range. And i still have time before my licance comes in the mail so ill keep looking. But i am considering thouse wilderness ones. I need to get some cargo pants or BDU's that will accept a 1 3\4 belt. my jeans will but its a really tight fit and im not always really into jeans.
