I know...strange question...

I'm burning through ammo (and my budget) like no tomorrow shooting my new P9. I'm tooled up for pistol cartridge reloading. Kahr recommends only shooting factory ammo. I've got 1300 casings (and climbing )I need to reload if I am going to continue shooting at the rate I am. Which carry pistol, similar in size to the Kahr (not concerned with weight), would you all recommend that will easily digest reloads?

I think ALL manufactures suggest shooting factory ammo. If anyone knows of a maker that says "Sure, shoot the reloads all you want" in the manual, I'd love to see it.

Stick with jacketed projectiles and you should be fine.

+1.

No need to get a new gun, just work up a reload that functions reliably in your Kahr. Make sure you start with a good reloading manual and start with their minimum load. For target/plinking most reloaders seem to strive for a load that will cycle the action EVERY time and yet not be too hot of a load.

It takes a good deal of time to work up your load, (make sure that you are keeping good records of exactly what you load), test fire, back to the drawing board, etc. But once you find the right recipe, you're set.

All posters are correct, all makers recommend factory ammo. Typically shooting reloads will void your warranty, although I don't know how they'd prove it, unless you send in your piece with a bulged barrel.
I carry a Smith 3913 and a Kahr Mk.9. Both shoot everything I've ever put into them.

Gotcha...I thought the issue with Kahr was not unlike the issue with factory Glock barrels.

Thanks for the info.

Question: I've loaded thousands of 45 Colt and .38 special loads...still have several pounds of Universal Clays...mebbe a pound or two left of W231. What powder would you all suggest to use (or what I should purchase) to duplicate a 1130 fps 115 gr ball factory? My P9 simply dotes on this bullet and velocity.
