So I got this Glock 27 on a trade. It's main selling point were the night sights, and the fact that I was specifically looking for a 27. I saw pics of the grip before hand, but didn't really think it could be that bad. Once I got the gun I quickly found out it was going to rip my hand up on the range bacause the home done stippling job was very sharp. I then shaved and sanded the stippling off and left it looking more ugly than ever!
Next I tried to cover up the ugliness with some grip tape
Not sure if that worked or not, but I sure wouldn't have ever lost my grip on it!
Finally I decided the only way I would have a chance at liking this gun would be to re-do the stippling or buy a new frame :hand1:. Here's what came out of it. I tried to mimic a "tree bark" look I saw somewhere because I figured it would give me my best chance of covering up the divots from the original job.
So here it is, keep in mind I'm not looking for compliments on the job (I know it's ugly), just want to know if you guys think it looks better than before.
