The assaults on the Second Amendment will not stop until this administration is changed. Its going to be a long battle & turning the Senate over to the Repubs in 2014 & holding the House will be very important.

Biden: Latest gun-limit bill ‘just the beginning’
Pelosi agrees, this Congress ‘will not be the end of the day’

By David Sherfinski, The Washington Times, Wednesday, March 27, 2013

Vice President Joseph R. Biden rallied gun control advocates Wednesday ahead of a “day of action” organized by a prominent advocacy group, telling supporters that bans on so-called assault weapons and high-capacity magazines would be followed by further gun controls.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi spoke similarly, predicting that whatever bills pass Congress this term will not end the issue from her perspective.

Joe Biden on Gun Control: ‘Let Me say This as Clearly as I Can, This Is Just the Beginning’
Mar. 27, 2013, 8:30pm, Jason Howerton

WASHINGTON (TheBlaze/AP) — Vice President Joe Biden said Wednesday the expected upcoming Senate votes on gun control are only the beginning of the White House’s fight strengthen gun laws.

During a conference call organized by Mayors Against Illegal Guns, Biden assured supporters that the push gun control would not end with the current proposed bill, saying, “Let me say this as clearly as I can: this is just the beginning,” according to the Washington Times.

The fate of gun control legislation is unclear. A vote on a Senate bill, including expanded background checks and harsher penalties for gun trafficking, is expected next month.

The White House also has been pushing for limits on so-called “assault weapons” and high-capacity magazines, but those provisions won’t be part of the Senate bill. Instead they are to be offered as amendments, and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid says they don’t have enough support to pass.

“That doesn’t mean this is the end of the process. This is the beginning of the process,” Biden reiterated during the conference call.

Until the liberty-haters are ejected and kept at least 1000yds away from our Constitution and any means of tearing it apart, it'll never be over. They're simply confirming they're not going to lie down on their attempts to destroy it.

Neither can we, with our attempts to protect it from their grasping, liberty-hating hands.

From the article:

"On a conference call organized by Mayors Against Illegal Guns, the group co-chaired by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Mr. Biden was emphatic, saying, “Let me say this as clearly as I can: this is just the beginning.”

So, the rabid antis are going to use all the money that Bloomie is willing to spend, in the hope that his money will turn into results. We need to let them know it doesn't matter how much money they throw at it, the result will be the same - NO!

Government can only govern with the consent of the governed. We see at the state and local level Sheriffs and other local law enforcement folks standing up for the Constitution and the rule of law by refusing to enforce these illegal acts. A growing sense of anger and frustration is easily seen by the people at the constant assault on their individual rights, including 2A. Things continue the way they are going there will be open contempt and civil disobedience towards government. Our great country will fail should that come to pass and the foolishly elected continue to ignore the will of the people. One can only ask what part of "one nation, under God, indivisible" is it they don't understand?

If it's heavily controlled, with respect to the Q&A and debate topics that get aired, he might well be insulated from the worst of the tidal wave of people who've got him pegged and would force him to answer to the People at long last. With the money Bloomers and others can toss into the ring, anything's possible, up to and including a fully-insulated "debate" process in which "spin" is the operative word, and to which "inciters" don't get invited ... including their questions not being selected for a topic.

I'm betting the "debate" planners will carefully orchestrate this next batch of them to best effect. Translation: we might well get screwed, blued and tattooed if we aren't careful.

We, the non-Progressives are adopting Saul Alinsky tactics = End Game! This is still a Center Right Nation (and we only have a few years left of that).

This is actually a good thing, that Biden said. Let there be no doubt that the progressive left-wingers want ALL your GUNS, semi's, pumps, lever, bolts, ALL OF THEM...even the C&R arena will get hammered. Now is the time to call, email, otherwise contact all of your reps, local, state and federal, now is the time to budget some $$$ for the NRA, GOA, SAF if you can. This could easily drag into 2016-2018 time-frame.

I know I sound, or type as the case may be, like a broken record, but this is the progressive methodolgy to achieve everything on their totalitarian socialist agenda. A number of small changes over time until the ultimate agenda, in this case the elimination of privately owned firearms, is realized.

Quick, what movie is this from: they "absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead" or without a gun - whichever comes first.

This is not surprising, nor should anyone that is paying attention be shocked by this. Gun control or a complete gun ban is really only second in liberal orthodoxy to the ability to have an abortion. For all the commentary on the Republican party going through a purity purge, the exact same is going on in the Democratic party. Senators like Joe Manchin, Max Baucus, Heidi Heitkamp, and Mark Pryor are an endangered species in the party.

The biggest lesson that all 2A supporters and gun rights groups like the NRA and GOA need to take is that the cultural battle for hearts and minds has gone 24/7/365. Even if things seem quiet, we have seen how fast the push for restricting or eliminating gun rights can be restarted. Consider that most Democratic senators and representative basically have gun control bills prepared and waiting in desk drawers for the next "opportunity" where they can figuratively smears some victims blood on themselves, rub pepper in their eyes for fake tears, and hid behind the dead body trying to preemptively shout down any one that would disagree with them by saying "If you don't want to pass gun control, you want children to die". It is an emotionally childish and deliberate argument, but it is all they really know how to debate today. Unfortunately, more of our fellow Americans are very susceptible to such arguments because our society have sort of been de-evolving in our ability to think logically and critically. Too many people live in their own little bubble world, an perceived reality based on basic obtuseness. They go around in Condition White and pretend the world is better than it really is, just because the probability of something bad happening to them is extremely low. A good example is people that know crime happens, but it happens far away in places they do not live or travel. They are the ones that say things like "who needs 30 rounds?" even though the question is irrelevant. Events that shatter this perceived reality of a peaceful world cause a self defense denial mechanism to automatically kick in and this mechanism overrides any logical thought process like "we need to find out why the killer did what they did and what caused them to suddenly decide they do not care that murder is wrong, they are going to do it anyways" with an emotionally satisfying, but intellectually vapid "we gotta do something".

The gun rights orgs and we gun owners and 2A supporters can no longer sit back and take an avoidance of difficult topics with those who basically do not know what they think on gun ownership or 2A because the issues is a very remote part of their perceived reality. We need to be thoughtful, logical, educational, and gentle in getting these types to think beyond the emotion. We cannot wait until the next mass shooting and do this in response and we certainly cannot have our orgs waiting 3 days until releasing a statement on the most recent incident where some sociopath grossly misuses a firearm. We must be willing to venture out of our comfortable bubble too. Have discussions here in forums with like minded folks has many benefits, but we need to show those out there who are at least willing to listen and keep and open mind, what responsible gun ownership looks like and that it has more benefits in self defense than detriments when misused by disturbed individuals.

Sorry to be so long, but it's a complex issue. Step one is recognizing it and accepting it.

I really wish they'd stop saying stuff like "it's just the beginning". We know that, they know that...but it causes someone to continue to panic buy - I'd really like to find some ammo at Walmart or even my LGS sometime during this administration!

talk is cheap, and so is Joe. There is little support in Congress right now for more gun control, and after 2014, there will even less.
Bloomberg is so used to buying whatever he wants that he just won't settle until he gets his way. Be aware of Congressmen that
"mysteriously" change their vote from pro-gun to anti-gun in the next year.....and follow the money right to their bank account. Its gonna
happen, guarantee you. Bloombutt will have most of Congress in his back pocket before its over....and we will have an AWB and magazine
restrictions of epic proportions.....maybe worse.

...and then there will be blood in the streets and violence.....and Homeland Security will get to use some of those billion rounds they have been buying up by the train load.

I think the liberal left has seriously underestimated the resolve of the freedom loving, constitutional backing Americans.
They will find out....the wrong way.

I believe gun control efforts were forthcoming in the event he'd get a second term, the Sandy Hook shooting opened that door wider.

As usual:
1- Join a pro gun organization. Join more than one. Sign up the kids/grand kids.
2. Write and phone your legislators, encourage family and friends to do the same. I've been leaving little stacks of homemade business size cards around in public, with our legislators phone number and encouraging words for others to call them in support of 2A. Make some up, and leave stacks at your local LGS or range..
3. I just ordered a NRA embossed wallet and cap with logo. I'll be wearing the cap just about everywhere, I'm normally discreet, but I want the general public to see some obvious support.
4. Casting your vote is important, but from this day forward we've got to change tactics and start helping out in campaigns to get good people elected. We've got to outwork the opposition, get involved. Complacency is our enemy also.
5. The anti gun crowd needs a 1994 refresher course in 2014.
6. I don't care what the anti gun mouthpieces say, the momentum is on our side. All the people who have recently bought overpriced guns and ammo.......they have their money at stake and at risk, right now too. I'd say there are lots of motivated folks out there who have "dogs in this hunt"
7. Continue to spread the word, encourage and motivate others on some of the other gun forums.

LET'S POUR IT ON 'EM !
