When something as unspecific as that happens are you going to say, "I told you so"?:wink:The more I think about this, the angrier that I get.
What greater threat to our national security than to continue to undermine our border security? Somebody please convince me that Al-Qaeda can't easily come across the Mexican border?
I believe that something very bad is going to happen within the next few years.
So just where are they going to buy ammo, the shelves are bare and available 40 S&W is expensive.Any agent worth their salt will purchase their own ammo to stay proficient.
Although, this likely is yet another example of the administration creating chaos in order to blame the sequester.
Most Americans have no Idea who they catch coming across,It's not just South Americans, they have caught people from Africa and The MIDDLE EAST inside our borders in stash houses, that stuff usually doesn't get past the local newsThe more I think about this, the angrier that I get.

There are two separate issues here. Ammo availability is a nuisance right now. Via internet orders I can still lay hands on whatever I need, but just not at the same price that I used to. I haven't carried a gun for a living in close to 30 years now, and I've never run out of ammo. Good cops will stay trained and armed, regardless. So just where are they going to buy ammo, the shelves are bare and available 40 S&W is expensive.
Oh geez. I forget how bad regulations must be these days. Never mind....
It is against policy to use anything but issue ammo in service weapons, under DHS knowingly violating policy can get you fired.
...
Maybe Janet can get all those guards she hired to protect the NOAA - National Weather Service to each pony up a box for the Border Patrol! I assume they're guarding all the data on Global Warming and we don't want that released! God know what will happen if that gets out with out Al Gore approval! :urla9ub:So just where are they going to buy ammo, the shelves are bare and available 40 S&W is expensive.
But "all they bought" is not what some would have you believe. That mythical 1.6 billion purchase was not a purchase at all but only a price solicitation. Even after they set a price they still have to buy the ammo.If I am not mistaken Border Patrol is part of DHS so after all they bought makes you wonder were it went
If I remember correctly they only took delivery of ± 250 million rounds by December 2012. Of course these are five year contracts so at a maximum they would get 320,000,000 rounds per year (320 million rounds for those who went to public schools and can't figure out the commas)! :wave:But "all they bought" is not what some would have you believe. I am curious as to where you got those figures and the specifics. Like when the deliveries were supposed to have started. December 2012 is in the first quarter of FY2013.If I remember correctly they only took delivery of ± 250 million rounds by December 2012.
