OP, I cannot recommend them because I do not own one, nor have I handled one personally, but if you are looking for an affordable 1911 the guns from the Philippines and Turkey are said to be decent. The Ruger SR1911's are also less expensive than other 1911's on the market, but far higher than $400.
Ok my first post was a bit blunt.
Have to go back a bit it has been a while sense that name has come up. Basically they took China made 45's did some rework on them and stamped them made in US. They then jacked the price up and passed them off as some custom higher end weapons ,they were not .
They went bankrupt, they were a lot of news ones still sitting around and were sold off at a big discount. You still find news ones in the box from time to time.
On sale you can buy a Shooters arms 45 new for about 439-500 much better place to buy a discount 45 if that is what you want.
Or save the 400 add a bit to it Ruger SR1911 sells for 650 and you get a 1000 worth of 45.
You cash of course you can do what ever you like
