Too funny! Where's my list now:
- Healthcare is great, but we the legislature opt out of what you have
- Retirement is great, but we the legislature opt out of what you have
- Time off is great, just don't call us into some special session especially when it's election time
- Taxes are great, I get extra $3k deduction
- Gun control is great, but we the legislature opt out of what you have

Exactly what I was thinking. I’m not sure about California, but here in the U.S. we see way too much of this. What’s good for the goose should be good for the gander.

Rulers, law-makers, insiders, power-brokers et al, have exempted themselves from their laws, regs, mandates ever since humans began looking around for someone to "lead them ". All the time firmly believing (justifying) that their personal exemptions are for, uhhh... "OUR own good". Heck, Communist/Socialism looks effective & efficient on paper until the "administrators" cease to participate EQUALLY in the system. Ditto on religion. Ditto on capitalism. Ditto on health care. Ditto on retirement. And the list goes on & on. It all comes back to character. Great leaders have always put the best interest of their followers above their personal comfort or gain. The last one I can think of is...Jesus.
