HB 1911 is getting gutted in committee. Rep. Phil King wants to tie unlicensed carry to the requirements of licensed carry. And they aren't changing the requirements to qualify for a license. In other words, under the now-gutted HB 1911, you will not be able to carry with or without a license if you are delinquent on taxes, behind on child support, have a class A or B misdemeanor in the past five years, or a conviction for "disorderly conduct" - including flipping the middle finger, cursing, or "emitting a noxious gas."
Call Rep. King's office and tell him not to gut 1911 and to vote on it and HB 375 tomorrow. Quite frankly, this is bullpoop. Be respectful, but make clear that gutting HB 1911 will be viewed as an anti-gun action. (512) 463-0738
