Hey, I hope you are using a Makarov because that was the gun I used 10 years ago and when the shooting was done, my gun was the only semi-auto that DID NOT JAM. The Paras, the Glocks, most of the other autos jammed at least once. My Makarov did not and, the crowd drew around me and asked what the gun was. I told them "a Makarov" and just got blank stares.
I will never forget that day.
Get what you can out of it. It's your first step, and it's the important one, no matter what you might think of 'going through the hoops' to carry. Learn something every day. Please post back about your classroom experience with us and what you gained or disdained from it.
These classes are not required in my state to CCW but I have been wondering about them. My brother lives in Arizona wants to get his permit and has to take the class to do so. What do you actually do in the class? Is it basically just "qualifying" with a gun?
