Impressive display of the garden-variety arms and staff they've accumulated. The exotica wasn't shown, in that video at least.

China is definitely one of the dozen or so countries that has a strong ability to take the fight to an enemy, instead of merely having defensive ability. It we all don't keep our heads, it might well turn out that China's growing economic, military and commercial prominence in the world will tick off others so strongly that it sparks conflict. It's probably likely, as you suggest. I hope it can be contained, if it occurs.
